motivos de oracion

In less than 12 hours, CPC's EM Summer Mission team will be flying out from CA to serve in Paraguay for the next two weeks.  I don't think the reality of their impending arrival hit me until today, after shopping for the team's meals at the market.  We filled two carts with mountains of food (including 30 lbs of meat. Thirty pounds!) and we'll be going back for even more food tomorrow.  If anyone back home is worried about whether the team will be well fed or not, you can rest assured that hunger will be the least of their problems :)

Working so closely with the Chos this year, and especially in the past few days, has made me more appreciative of their humility and willing hearts to serve here in Paraguay.  So much goes on behind the scenes of these two-week mission trips, and I'm only beginning to see it now.  I seriously admire Pastor Cho and his family -- such awesome, awesome people.

The team will be serving with a group of jovenes from Iglesia Marangatu, primarily in the area of Horas Felices (VBS), so please keep them and the church in your prayers.

Prayer requests:
  • For traveling mercies for the CPC-EM team as they leave for Paraguay tomorrow morning
  • For the children and adults who will be attending the Horas Felices we will be holding in various parts of Paraguay, that they may receive the Gospel and come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior
  • For good weather (re: previous post), since all of our events will be held outdoors
  • For the health and physical/spiritual strength of the missionaries and local volunteers
  • For Marangatu's Sunday School teachers, who will be following up with the children after the Horas Felices have ended
  • For safety to, from, and during all of the activities we'll be doing over the next two weeks
